Bumpy Road Missions

Pastor Isaiah Benedict and family

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO:

Bump Road Missions serves in the village of Mare Rouge, Haiti.

The gospel is the focus of all that we do. We offer discipleship and training to pastors, evangelists, and church leaders.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE:

In 2020 we were able to be a part of meeting a huge need in our community by helping start School of Light, a school for students Pre-K through 5th Grade. It currently has 164 students enrolled and we have plans to add a grade each year until 9th grade (Haiti’s senior year).

We help raise support for the school so that students receive daily snacks and teachers receive compensation.

In 2021 collected backpack and school supplies for the school and were able to donate over 300 backpacks and 750lbs of school supplies for the School of Light for the 2021-2022 school year. We were also able to purchase a small piece of land and build a small set of classrooms as well as enlarging the recess area.

So far in 2022, we partnered with Pastor Rousier to start trade school classes in our community. The trade school offers classes in Masonry, Electric, Tile Laying, sewing and soon basket making. We were able to raise the money to purchase sewing machines to not only supply the trade school but help a few women who couldn’t afford a sewing machine start a small business.

We also hosted mini conferences in the Summer of 2021 that focused on youth leaders, pastors, and marriage.

OUR GOAL FOR 2022

We will be returning to Haiti in August and our goal is to return with 1000lbs of backpacks and school supplies. We have a good start but are still collecting items. In order to take these items we will need to raise enough money to pay for shipping at a cost of $1.60/lb.

*We need help funding the 2022-2023 school year.

*We feel led to Raise a Roof on Pastor Livertons church this year. The church was able to lay the foundation and construct walls but they need our help with the roof. This project will require us to raise $8,000 for material in addition we will need a team of 4 to 6 men to come on a short trip to help with construction.

*We are wanting to become fluent in the language. We know that this is the biggest obstacle we have in the mission field. So, we are working diligently in learning the language.

Please keep these goals in your prayers!

BEING CALLED TO GO TO HAITI?

If you think you would like to come on a mission trip to Haiti, the first thing you need to do is talk to a pastor and ask them if you are ready. Next, you need your passport. Then, reach out to us and we can discuss plans and what might be required to come and serve.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:

*We need prayer partners. People who help own the mission. To reach out to us while in the field, to check on the work and see what the current prayer needs are and boldly lift them up to the Lord.

*Become a financial sponsor. Let’s be honest, living in the mission field is expensive and we couldn’t do it without generous supporters who see the value in what we do and sacrificially give to support the ministry. If you would like to give to Bumpy Road Missions, you can do so by mailing a check to:

Bumpy Road Missions, PO Box 820, Warsaw, MO 65355

*You can also give by collecting items, we are always collecting –

School supplies, backpacks, personal hygiene items, hand towels, wash cloths, reading glasses, old prescription glasses and used unlocked smart phones.
